If you don't plan correctly, your plan will not succeed. Many companies make the mistake of blindly incorporating social media marketing without a strategy or plan.
If you can't answer questions like "why are you on social media?" or "What social media platform is your target audience on?" then it's time to hit the reset button. Start writing a plan with your team so they can refer to it when they need it.
Your social media plan should consist of mini-plans for each social media channel that you hope to have a presence on. You will have a plan for Twitter, Facebook, among others.
If you are just starting out, you would have to work on three social media sites or less. Most businesses, especially small businesses, trying to manage five different social media accounts usually end up doing mediocre work with little to no results.
