What is marketing strategy?

It is the plan to achieve the business objectives.

As simple as that. A strategy represents the set of actions designed to achieve the objectives defined in the marketing plan.

What is the difference between marketing strategies and tactics?
If the strategy is the plan to achieve the objectives, the tactic is the practical execution of the planned actions. It is the translation of the plan into concrete actions.
Let's say:
The strategy is the statement of the problem and the tactic is the result.

How to define an online marketing strategy?

Once we have done the situation analysis, defined the objectives and the insight, we have enough information to start defining the marketing strategy.
To do it correctly we must begin by verbalizing it.
Example:
Given that the objective of my company is to increase the market share by 2% in 1 year, among people aged 25 to 35 and seeing that we can offer a more competitive product, we are going to launch a product with the XYZ characteristics, positioning it as, ...
After these reflections in which we talk about objectives, the market gaps that we have seen in the market and the insight, we can come up with a phrase that sums it up: "launch the XYZ product for the ABC profile to position ourselves as DEF".
Of course, this is an impromptu example for this post and is not complete. But I think it can help you understand it better.
Once we have stated it, we can draw up the plan that will lead us to achieve the objectives (an essential part of marketing strategies).
